The author of this book Joyce Karnis, PT is an amazing Myofascial Release therapist. I was fortunate to be treated by Joyce when I was receiving my two-week intensive treatment course with John F. Barnes, PT in Malvern, PA. Joyce was one of the therapists there and I had a first-hand experience of her healing touch and learned from her about self treatment program specifically tailored for my needs.
The book Comprehensive Myofascial Self Treatment that Joyce put together is excellent. I share the material in the book with my clients and I use it for my own self treatment. I would recommend anybody who is in search of authentic healing and pain relief to look into this book.
Phil Tavolacci, PT is a very talented MFR therapist and artist. Phil has been helping me to overcome my chronic pain and discomforts.
The book What's In Your Web? is a collection of personal stories about MFR journeys, written by Phil himself, his clients and other therapists. I found the book to be genuine and very helpful for my healing process.
We all have our different journeys and perhaps reading this book would help you in yours.
Healing Ancient Wounds: The Renegade's Wisdom is a book written by John F. Barns, PT the founder of Myofascial Release Approach. The book has incredible insights into mind/body healing process and how MFR journeys might unfold. John talks about his personal experiences and various patients and therapists contribute their stories as well.
I was first a patient of John F. Barnes, then started taking his courses and became an MFR therapist. This book was very important and instrumental for my understanding of MFR principles and setting my expectations.
The book is great for therapists as well as for the patients. It is not a tutorial in JFB MFR, but it allows the reader to become more familiar with the ways MFR-facilitated healing process works in different scenarios.
