I am a Myofascial Release (MFR) therapist and I also receive MFR as a patient. I believe MFR is the best way to maintain a healthy mind and body.
Three and a half years ago I became an MFR patient due to an acute health problem. I was receiving treatments two times a week locally, and I registered for a two-week intensive with John F. Barnes in Malvern, PA. Myofascial Release treatments helped
me in a way traditional medicine was not able to. I still need an occasional tune up, but mostly I continue receiving MFR on a regular basis as preventive care.
MFR also teaches me a lot about my body and my soul. It teaches me an awareness of my connection to the universe and to the world in a very subtle but profound way. I would recommend regular MFR to anyone, not only to those with an immediate need. I believe that, as John F. Barnes says, Myofascial Release is the missing link and the future of healthcare.
